From the 1^st May onwards, Germany’s second largest airline, Air Berlin, is offering scheduled flights to the island of Usedom from Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Nuremberg and Stuttgart. That means every Saturday right through until the end of October that you can get in, strap in, lift off and land in the holiday paradise beside the Baltic Sea after around a 90-minute flight. The flight tickets are available for € 278 including all taxes and charges.

For the flights, Air Berlin will be using modern, 76-seater, Q400 turboprop machines, made by airplane manufacturer Bombardier.

From the 8^th May 2010 onwards, alongside the 4 connections from Air Berlin, the Ostfriesische Lufttransport GmbH (OLT) will also offer scheduled flights to the island, like it did this year. You can take off every Saturday from Bremen, Cologne/Bonn, Frankfurt, Munich (August/September) and Zurich (June-September). The flight takes an average of 90 minutes to Germany’s sunniest island.

For the flights, the OLT will be using modern, 50-seater, Saab 2000s with turboprop engines.
